Brian Auman

Expertise: Polymer Chemistry

  • Synthesis, characterization and manufacturing of a wide range of polymers, especially related to step-growth polymerization
  • Developed novel polymers including:
    • Polyimides for semiconductor & electronic devices
    • Liquid crystal polymers for electronic packaging and components
    • Engineering polymers (polyetherketones, aramids, polyethersulfones, aromatic polyesters)

Michael K. Crawford

Expertise: Physical Chemistry and Materials Science

Garry Figuly

Expertise: Organic / Polymer chemistry

  • Synthesis, characterization, processing, and structure-property relationships
  • Polymer synthesis and applications, including:
    • Hydrogels, elastomers, spandex, TPEs, ionomers, acrylates, liquid crystalline polymers, polyesters, polyamides, polyimides, biologically derived polymers, and conductive polymers
  • Coating and encapsulation of actives
  • Fiber spinning (melt spinning, wet spinning, dry spinning)

Charlie Koerting

Expertise: Analytical Chemistry

  • Analytical chemistry problem-solving, develops cross-lab analysis protocols
  • Manufacturing support:
    • Develops analysis systems for manufacturing facilities
    • Develops structure/property/process relationships to understand root cause of problems
  • Develops and implements analysis protocols for FDA, REACH and GHS

Doug Lamb

Expertise: Coatings Science

  • Coatings science and formulation, product development and testing

    • Organic soluble homopolymers and co-polymers
    • Water soluble non-ionic, anionic, cationic, zwitterionic, and hydrophobically modified polymers and copolymers
